OK, posted this here, so it doesn't get lost in another thread. I usually also use a pound of HOT Italian ground sausage (can't get TOO much meat IMHO!!). Hope it works for y'all like it does for us. Would think you could CWTGTO after 20 minutes of gas*, relight & up temp to 400 degrees when you open oven to top w/remaining cheese, and burn gas until second recommended time. Again, speculation on the CWTGTO part, but I suspect would turn out fine.
1 lb. ground beef ½ tsp dried basil, crushed
1 – 15 oz. jar spaghetti sauce ½ tsp dried oregano crushed
2 slightly beaten eggs 9 lasagna noodles
1 ½ cups cottage cheese 1 ½ cups shredded Swiss Cheese, divided
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 cup boiling water
2 TBS Parmesan cheese
Cook meat & drain fat, stir in spag. sauce and let simmer while mixing other ingredients. In a bowl, stir together eggs, cottage cheese, 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, dried basil & oregano. In a 13x9x2 pan or lasagna pan, place 3 uncooked noodles. Spread 1/3 meat sauce on top of noodles. Top with ½ cottage cheese mix and ½ cup Swiss cheese. Repeat layers. Top w/remaining three noodles & remaining meat sauce mix. Pour boiling water around edges of baking dish, STOP where you started (may NOT take full cup to go around). Cover tightly w/foil. Bake @ 350 for 1 hour or until noodles are tender. Uncover, sprinkle w/remaining cheese and return to oven. Bake 3-5 minutes more, until cheese is melted (brown slightly if desired). Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.

*I have NOT tried this CWTGTO YET--but suggest perhaps run the gas @ 450 the first 20 minutes before turning gas OFF. Then follow suggested instructions from there. Again, SHOULD I try and VERIFY this, I will amend post to reflect that.
