Here is my Hankscraft egg cooker, from the 50's. It works beautifully, and the chrome is pretty sweet with a Chambers, don't you think? Your turn to show off some old stuff.

Drat! My egg cookers are plastic for the microwave. That's why I'm so fascinated with these things.

You should check out the older Hankscraft versions, vaporvac! They are beautiful - ceramic bases with polished aluminum or chrome lids. There are even ones that were made to go along with FiestaWare colors - orange-red, blue, green, cream, yellow. I'd have a stable of them if I could.
If you watch eBay, you can catch one for <$20, and they're totally worth it.

The egg cooker is very pretty! But since I am currently on a cast iron kick I can't take my eyes off that nice #6 skillet sitting beside it!

It's a Wagner #6, and my current fave cast iron pan, mainly because it's so well seasoned at this point. Scrambled eggs, French omlette? No problem.

Those Hanscraft egg cookers are too cute! I have my eye on one as a present. Thanks for the tip. For myself I'd have to have a copper one, but it's selling for a bit too much when I don't need it.

I agonized over which model to buy. Like, for years!! The one I ended up with wasn't my favorite by half, but what it was was CHEAP!! The newer chrome ones were going for peanuts at the time. I rationalized that I was trading the cuteness factor for an increased capacity. Now that I've added more vintage chrome stuff to my life I'm happy with my choice, but it took a while. Those mint or pastel blue ones just used to call to me so...
Happy hunting, vaporvac!
