Well, according to this article, she sold the apartment for $18 million: www.nypost.com/p/item_ef1tMMmVHlT2CguWToNfLK But I can't really find out much about her, other than she was a "socialite". I wonder if she was the Paris Hilton of the 1950s - famous just for being famous?

It sounds like she's still alive. One article said she moved to the Carlyle. Did you catch the reference to the big gas stove that Paul Bocuse coveted? I bet it was the Imperial. Another silly article said the stove was from the early 190/1920's, so she obviously didn't expect her help to do much cooking!

Another silly article said the stove was from the early 190/1920's, so she obviously didn't expect her help to do much cooking! Just perusing the Irish Independent newspaper today, and read that Chef Paul Bocuser died. www.independent.ie/life/food-drink/food-news/obituary-paul-bocuse-36538133.htmlName rang a bell, as I THOUGHT that he was in the article about Anne Slater's apartment in NY & her Imperial, and he was. So I googled Slater to see how she was doing, and ( alas!) found out she died Christmas Eve... *sigh* www.wmagazine.com/story/anne-slater-dies-new-york-socialite-remembrancesThe world is a sadder place w/o characters such as herself, God rest her... Party on, Anne Slater!! Hope your old Imperial found a good home!!! CHEERS! Chuckie
