Hippi,
I am going to try this when I get the time. Twins keep getting in the way. Question, how do you keep those tortillas fresh. I buy the same kind, but have to use them the day I get them or the day after or they get stale.
By the way, your cookbook is coming along nicely.

... what kinda cocktail didja have going in that big ol green glass? One of my fave Summertime-Hell refreshers: Tanqueray with just a splash of Rose's Lime juice and Soda with lotsa ice...my stomach can't take too much Tonic, so I like Soda instead.

Thanks Frank...good luck on gettin' some time to cook! As far as keeping the torts fresh, I don't unwrap 'em until I'm ready to use 'em, and I put the unopened package in a plastic bag and refrigerate as soon as we get 'em home...I've had a package stay fresh for almost a month that way.

Oh boy they look delish!!!! I wish we had a green chile festival in New York. I wish I had time to make them. Hopefully things will calm down a little. This would make a great halloween nite dinner. My neighbors and I really get into halloween and usually end the trick or treating with a nice meal.
