Some fall produce and how does the Chambers handle it? A few leftover apples, not any plans for them yet, there is another bushel in the garage. More on the tree, 4 of the 5 to pick. Had the burner grate glowing red under the kettle for these jars. 21 Quarts, mmm. good, all from one tree too. Good year. Stove works like a dream too. Cinnabar

Nice job Cinn, I don't have any photos, but I put up 40 qts of tomatoes, 20 qts of vinegar peppers, and 30 pts of marinated mushrooms so far. Arugla and basil pestos are on tap for the week end.

Don, Sounds good, my garden was not very good, herbs did well though. Arugula and basil, two of my favs, may have to try that pesto. Our plums we just over 100 lbs, so canned and wined much of them. Still have pickled pumpkin to can. This is a busy time of year. Cinn

Cinn, I don't mix the arugla and basil. They are 2 separate pestos. Here's a tip. I put the pesto into ice cube trays and freeze it. Then pop it out and put it in a zip lock in the freezer. The cubes are a great portion size. Don

Don, That's the way I do my basil pesto as well, I will try arugula if I have enough left. Also flat leaf parsley works the same way for a mild pesto too. My Italian grandmother in law used to freeze the basil leaves after she rolled them up like a cigar. Then snipped them as needed, that just gets lost in my freezer. Cinn
