Anyone know about these old refriges? It runs like a top. My Dad estimates about from 1930-35. Orley made stoves, but it may not be the same company. ![](http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/9583/1292967wa3.jpg)

If you know how to contact Uncertain Sam, he has a wealth of knowledge on fridges besides a thorough command of all things Chambers.

Cinnabar, I'll check with my dad. He smokes meats in northern MN, and his favorite smokers are *gasp!* metal refridges. He tears out the motors from the bottom and uses the space for his fire box, and the top end becomes the smoke chamber. He makes turkeys in apple wood smoke that is tadiefer, venison jerkey, white fish, and just about any other road kill he can find. Anyway, he knows a bit about old refrigerators, and this one looks right about up his alley.

THanks Old Salt, our former neighbor, at age 88 was "smokin dem bullheads" with applewood once a month or so. We moved away and I'm sure he's passed, never thought to see what brand his old reefer cooker was or just how he set it up. Made a lot of nasty smoke though. Like I said this oldie just purrs , beats out the "new" one upstairs. Keep da beers and pop nice and cold. cin
