Hi! Can I use a spray on oven cleaner on my C90? My oven is in desperate need of cleaning and other methods haven't worked well. I could use your "expert" advice. Thanks.

Are you talking about inside the oven or on the top and outside?
I just re-read your post. I’m pretty sure you could use it on the enameled walls, because they’re just like any other enameled metal. I suppose to be careful you could spot test it on an inconspicuous corner. How bad is the build up? Those spray on oven cleaners are harsh chemicals…I never use them because I would not want the fumes, and I would worry about getting it all rinsed off before I used the oven again

I'll do as you suggest and try a small area but, sorry to say, the build up is pretty bad. I agree that the fumes are pretty overwhelming. I'm hoping that they have improved somewhat since "the old days." Thanks for your reply. I'll let you know how it goes.

Guess I should have asked what you use to clean your oven.

Non scratch scrubby pads and dish soap, or windex if it’s really bad. But SSSSHHHHHH! I don’t clean it as often as I would need to to keep it shiny and pristine, just when something really drips or spatters very bad. Marilyn is a working gal, not a trophy stove!
