hi folks, i recently bought a home with a beautiful Chambers drop-in stove. Unfortunately, the stove smells a bit more like gas than i'd like, even with the two pilots lit. I'm fairly handy but haven't done any work on stoves before, going to try the soapy water technique to identify the leak. I'd love to find a copy of the MT-42-C-1 service manual, but the site that sells it seems to be defunct. Any ideas on where to find a copy?
Thank you!
Michael

Try to get in contact with Todd White the moderator at Chambers Rangers (https://chambersrangers.proboards.com/). He use to run the site selling literature, but he posted a while ago he was selling the business. If anyone can help you, he can. Don Mattera of Mattera Stove Works (http://www.matterastoveworks.com/) would be a second choice.
If you've done a test of all joints with soapy water, you're probably good. Mercaptan the chemical additive that makes natural gas stink is pretty strong stuff, so there could be some residual that you're smelling.
