I believe Wear-Ever first came up with this design back in the 19teens. Even theirs was only marked with a number. Other companies have since copied them, because it's a great general purpose pan grabber. Chambers had to be a contrarian & come up with their own lifter/handle. Actually in 1912 when Chambers first started, Wear-Ever probably still owned the right to this one.
