it’s been about 7 years since our stove ‘Sealy’ was installed at our camp near Bracketville TX so I decided to give her a good cleaning. Three weeks ago we leveled it a little, the floor is a little sloped towards the back. This trip I pulled all the handles off and replaced them with a set I had already buffed up, but not until she got a good spray down with some Dawn PD’r. She’s looking pretty good once again.

Dang, I like your idea of a camp stove! My guess is you have something different for backpacking. The floor kinda looks like OSB?

Ha! Would be a little heavy to drag into a campground for sure. The floor is a one part Epoxy paint / two colors. I crumpled up a stiff cotton rag and made the pattern in green like they do on walls. It’s held up great!

You are truly a man of many talents! Now that you say what it is (and I removed my eye patch) I can see that.

Thanks. Sometime soon I’ll pull the two dials off and try and paint the background white again, saw someone on Facebook do it. She’s been a good stove. This was the first trip in 10 months to the camp so I’m guessing she was glad to see us and did a great job cooking while we were there.
