Hey Y’all! Today we make u da Gumbo, Chicken and Sausage. This stuff freezes great so I always do two big pots since it takes 3-4 hours to make and I always get a pile of dishes dirty.

It’s a secret family recipe I found on the web some years back and tweaked it a little. 😃. I’ll try and post it tonight.
Why in the heck does my phone always change “on” to “in” when I type!? 😡

Here’s the recipe. You can use pork sausage, beef and pork or any type you prefer, just don’t add any really spicy or Italian sausage...it will overpower the other flavors. Save the liquid from the chicken soup for the Gumbo but NOT the sausage liquid if you boil your sausage. If you don’t like Okra you can leave it out. I like it AND it thickens the Gumbo. I wouldn’t add the cooked rice to the whole pot. Serve it on the side so people can add as much or little as they like. The first picture is the list of ingredients, second picture is the recipe w/ingredients.
