Our daughter has sold Pampered Chef for years so when my wife and great-granddaughter brought me a Father's Day gift I wasn't too surprised to see it wrapped in a Pampered Chef box. Since we tend to reuse boxes the real question is always whether the box contains what it says or whether it's something else. In this case it was what it said, a fluted cake pan sized for the Pampered Chef version of the Instant Pot, what the call the Quick Cooker. The use and care sheet for it says to use half of a regular cake mix plus it gives a recipe. Since it fits the Quick Cooker I figured it'd fit the Thermowell so set it on the Thermobaker for a size comparison and there's room to spare. It comes with a wire rack and the second photo kind of shows it. I'll probably need to put some on the grate, like my ILSA diffuser, for the feet to sit on but we'll see. So, next step is to see how well it works in the Thermowell.

That really looks good! I kinda went the other way and probably committed some kind of cooking sin but made meatloaf in the well for the first use of it and it turned out great. Now that we're getting warmer days I really appreciate how much cooler the kitchen stays when I use the well vs. the oven. Not to mention how much less gas it uses. I was short some of the ingredients I needed so just need to make a trip to the grocery store and I'll make it happen. "Make Cake Happen" - I like that. Marie Antoinette might have been better off with that instead of "Let Them Eat Cake".

I’m tickled by the idea of meatloaf in a bundt pan. Whatever works!

It was actually something I read about in an old post where someone complained about the center of their meatloaf not getting all the way done doing meatloaf in the well and another member recommended putting drinking glass in the center and form the loaf around it, then remove the glass and bake the meatloaf. According to the follow-on comments it worked great and I always wanted to try it. For some reason when I decided to make meatloaf and wanted to try it in the well the idea clicked. It's probably not going to be my go-to meatloaf pan but it did make a nice, evenly cooked meatloaf.

That's adorable. I'm waiting to hear the cake results. I like using it for the meatloaf. you can fill the center with peas for a 60s feel dinner. : )

Actually, a meatloaf bundt sounds like an awesome idea—easy to make nice even slices, and you could drizzle a nice glaze over it once you unmold it and really make it a special looking thing!

Ohhhhm, nana! You are on to something good! My favorite part of meatloaf is the edges, and baking it in a bundt gives more edge AND more glaze surface area. I am all excited to try it now!!
