This isn't totally off-topic since it could apply to kitchen upgrades but since my specific application is an RV I'm putting it here. I have an old beater Army surplus pickup and a well used camper that I use to search for good fishing spots and do a little amateur gold panning up in the mountains and I'm working on the camper just doing a bit of interior trim work and re-upholstery. I was looking for upholstery ideas on Pinterest when an ad popped up for a foil wallpaper product that looks like it might be decent and lightweight so wondered whether anyone had any experience with it or knew of something similar. The camper is a 1978 that was a leaker that I bought for $150, rebuilt the roof framing and put a rubber roof on it, and then updated the stuff that needed it and have been using it for about 12 years. The wallpaper around the stove has a few spots and stains from years of use so I'm thinking of using something like this stuff to replace the 40+ year old original wallpaper. Here's a link to the wallpaper: www.rockcoo.com/collections/best-sell/products/aluminum-foil-kitchen-stickers-self-adhesive-oil-proof-stove-cabinet-stickers?variant=31634989711499And this is the camper on the pickup. The pickup is due for paint so I'm going to shoot it all green and I'm kicking around repainting the blue but am not sure what color to go with there. Any ideas there would be appreciated too!

Mach12: I dunno NUTHIN' bout that stuff, but Monkey & looked @ this @ one time for our kitchen backsplash, but then decided we'd go w/subway tile WHENEVER we got the time/$$!! www.homedepot.com/b/Fasade/Polished-Copper/N-5yc1vZ4jvZ1z108n7Our local Home Depot ALWAYS has it on hand so perhaps yours will too and you can see it... Thanks Chuckie. That looks like it might be a good option if I can find ones that are actual metal. I went to the link and it looks like some may be. I'm going to have to go to Home Depot here and see what they can tell me. When I was looking at what to put behind Pepper when we were redoing the kitchen I looked at some of this at Lowe's but all I saw was PVC and no one, even online, could tell me what the temperature tolerances were or the long term effect of repeated heating over the years. Like you, we decided to go with subway tile. I had never done that so was a bit intimidated but it turned out to be really easy other than the glass tile strip we put in, and that really wasn't that bad. Just keeping them all straight and making nice cuts around outlets and switches was tougher than the subway tile. If it weren't for the weight that's what I'd be putting in the camper but that stuff's pretty heavy. Decisions, decisions. I was looking at the data plates on the camper and it says it was made in Corona, California so figured this should be my corona virus lockdown project...

You might want to look at the decorative metal ceiling tiles for the backsplash area they offer lots off design options

If worse comes to worse we have a place near us that dismantles old houses and sells everything and I'd bet I could find some interesting ones there. Might have to put my old camper on the national historic register if I'm not careful though...
