Monkey & I got this garlic roaster as a wedding present (she registered for it). What you do is, cut the tops of the garlic, drizzle a little olive oil over the top, sprinkle lightly with Italian seasoning. I ran the gas about 18 minutes (timing something else so just used that time), off for about 1.5 to 2 hours. DELISH!!! And after you peel it outta the skin, you can spread it like peanut butter!! Second picture is AFTER roasting. Making garlic bread for monthly Eagle's birthday party tonight, along w/Auntie Peg's Pasta in a Pot... CHEERS! Chuckie

I have a couple of clay pot roasters and used to use them a lot but haven't tried them in our Chambers yet. Our daughter is always keeping an eye out for things I might like and knowing how much I like the clay pots brought us a garlic roaster she picked up in a yard sale, still in the box and plastic, but no instructions. I've been wondering how to use it but haven't gotten around to looking it up. Do you soak the roaster in water before using it like you do a clay pot roaster?

The TOP of our roaster is JUST unglazed clay, the BOTTOM has a GLAZE on the INSIDE. I don't know HOW many times we've roasted garlic in the thermowell 'basically' as described. I say "basically" as we don't do it often, and I've never really kept TRACK. I would say 15 minutes full-heat on the THERMOBAKER, then @ LEAST one hour CWTGTO... CHEERS!! Chuckie
