We've all thought and talked about this and here we are ;D I'm starting my wish list for this site.
Of course the recipe file, a must have. Chambers literature and service manuals available, downloadable. Instructions for rebuilding thermostat and safety system, downloadable.
Lets make this THE BEST Chambers site on the www ;D

We have to be careful to only make the ORIGINAL manuals and literature downloadable. Not anything that's been modified by anyone.

How about a directory of services for the stoves? Like parts, restoration services, etc.

Maybe we can pull our heads together and have "instructions" available for things like, "How to calibrate your stove". Questions that are commonly asked along with the answers, tips and tricks. Rate the company who did your reporcelian, etc....
Another thing, I would like to take the time to publicly thank Pacific for sending me a scan of the Chambers Accessories Pamphlet. Thank you ;D thank you ;D thank you ;D On the other board it would have been avaliable "for sale". If anyone would like me to email it to them let me know.

I had signed up on the AGA board before I bought my Chambers-someone got a hold of the members email address and started sending porn daily-you may want to remind members to be aware that adding their emails to the members list may be an open invitation-just a sidenote.

Pacific sent me that too--and the thank yous are very well deserved. I'd like to add that it printed out really well too (especially considering it was a scan of a copy of the original Pacific got from a seller on eBay--smart idea to ask for that!). I have original copies of most of the cook books from the late 20's on. Dare I scan those & make them available as pdf files? Danny

Once we get all these things scanned, we need a place to host them.
Oh yeah, I've got a .pdf for installing a new light fixture in a 90C.

Debi I had all 4 of mine out a couple of years back, so I know what you are talking about Debi. YUCK! Thankfully it passes pretty quickly. They gave me the Oxy treatment too, but I only took a couple. Hated the feeling it gave me. The pain, for me, was much better managed by alternating ibuprofen & tylenol (the oral surgeon told me that it was ok to do that for a short term treatment--it isn't normally recommended as it can be a bad combination so I don't suggest anyone do it without consulting a health professional first). Feel better soon! Danny

i have to have a molar replaced with an implant. split the tooth vertically chewing unpopped kernels.......... I split a molar as well, but didn't realize it and it abscessed. I have nerve damage from having my wisdom teeth removed and have no feeling in that tooth, but I have plenty of feeling in my jaw and ear now that I look like The Mask.

Hi Guys!
Thanks chipperhiker & fatfutures for letting me know where everyone is.
I have come to consider you all as friends and would really miss you all.
I would like a place for everyone to post their photos. I really enjoyed seeing everyones kitchens, homes, gardens & pets.
Danny your doggies are so cute. Mine would never wear a hat much less those antlers.
Glad to be here!

Sabrina isn't too keen on wearing anything except the occasional sweater in cold weather, so it was hard to get her to stay put with the Santa hat. Sam was a tolerant & long suffering boy when it came to photo ops. He was unbelievably patient when Ed would do things like this & that is one of the many things I miss about him no longer being around. Danny

Ok this might be the correct topic. I'M HeeerRRe.... Had the hardest time getting confirmation. In fact I finally just panicked and was banned for over an hour for trying more than 10 or 20 times. Now that I'm here we are leaving for Houston in the morning to meet the new guy in town, and celebrate the grandaughters 3rd birthday at Chucky Cheese. I shall return....v

Ha-asfan, a dental implant is nothing to worry about at all. Honest. I just recently finished the process. I woke up with an abscessed tooth for Thanksgiving morning '05. (Something to be thankful for... ) It was the same story you guys had, an old root-canaled molar, split at the furcation. It was extracted, and then 4 months after that, I had the implant put in. The implant procedure took all of 2-3 minutes. No exaggeration, whatsoever!! Eleven full months later, I got the final crown put on the implant. The worst part of the whole process was the gap in my dental arcade for the 4 months between the extraction and the implant. My mother just got 14 implants, and now is almost completely finished with a full set of permanently attached implants/plates. She looks AWESOME, and she also thought it was no biggie! (She's a trooper.) She's had a rough time with dental troubles over the years, and I'm happy for her that it's finally all come to an end. Ditto what Danny said about the pain control. I totally love the alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol combination. It's actually quite safe (as long as you stay within the safe doses of both drugs), the two drugs are synergistic so they work better together than either one alone, and they don't make you feel loopy. Opiods make me ill, so I'm happy to have a good alternative. Ms V, I'm glad you came on over to check out the new digs!! We'll "see" you when you get back.

Hi Everyone, I'm mnelson from the old board. I'm Ogorchock for the new board because my maiden name is a heck of a lot more interesting than my married name. Can I say "heck?" As a member since last December, I have to say that not only am I for free speech, I was drawn to you and stayed with you because of the obvious camaraderie and friendship you guys showed on the other Board. One positive of all of this is that new people like me may feel more comfortable joining in because we're not trying to break into such an established group. And, several of you have given me very good advice in my quest to find a lovingly used stove. I'm happy to be here.
