Well, I just wasted about FOUR HOURS of my life, copying my "ransomed photos" (nice name, pooka!) from those &*&$%# @ Photobucket!!! I FINALLY managed to marry up the verbiage w/the photos that had been "blacked out" on my Imperial restoration--and that was ALL I got accomplished in that time frame!! I have enough probs in my life W/O having to deal w/JERKS like those @ Photobucket!! A POX upon them!!! And BTW, THANK YOU, mach12, for turning me on to vgy.me. VERY handy, gotta figure out how to put stuff in folders though.
As some of you are aware via emails, texts & pm's of my phone to email picture problems, I spent about TWO HOURS yesterday on google, trying to cipher out WHY it suddenly didn't work, to no avail. I tried different browsers, nothing worked. So finally I get to thinking, it started about the time my computer crashed, so I got out Monkey & I's antique laptops, and booted them up.
Same thing on BOTH--regardless of browser!!! So I packed up my new phone & antique laptop, and stormed out to T-Mobile.
I must've had "the look" on my face, as the young male clerk look TERRIFIED!!! I tersely told him my situation. He told me to fire up the laptop (takes a good FIVE minutes to do that on the old bastard!), and he saw what I was saying about them BEING there, but NOT downloading. He THEN asked me how I was sending pix. I told him from my phone to email, and he says, NO, just HOW are you sending them, as a share or what? I told him I had NO IDEA what he was talking about, that w/my old AT&T phone, I just attached the pic to a text message, and then typed in my email address as the addressee, hit send, and it was there.
He then went on to tell me that "cellphones & computers" don't really "speak the same language" anymore--or something to that effect. In other words, my computer could NOT open the photo via TEXT message, as it couldn't "read" the photo.
He told me to go to photos, and pick one out I want to send, so I did. He then showed me the "share" icon:
When you click THAT, it shows different icons, to include yahoo mail. Clicked that, and then I typed in MY email address--even though it was coming form MY email account. The photo went right through, and I was able to download it to vgy.me.
The latter is prolly a "moot point" for most y'all, but I am NOT tech savvy, and thought I'd share in case anybody ELSE had this prob in the future!!
CHEERS!
