Is there a way on this forum to allow for someone to receive a notice when there is a response to a post? The way it now works requires one to log-in and see if someone responded to a post.
Thanks. Frank

Frank Your profile just needs to be set up for that. Once it's set up you just bookmark the post, which you do in with the dropdown at the Actions button at the top right of the post. To see whether your profile is set up to notify you just click on the "Home" tab, then when you're at the home page click on Profile, edit profile, then the notifications tab. In the notifications list that opens check the blocks you want. Make sure that the "Bookmark" block is checked.

Thanks, mach12. What is the difference between "instant" and "smart.?

I had mine set to instant originally but when I set up my phone to get email I was getting hammered with too many emails. I changed it to smart and I still get a notification of the first reply/post but not of any after that. Really helps keep from getting too many. Some things, like when I get a PM, I keep at instant.
Here's the description from the help page:
Notification Frequency - Only Applies to Emails
Smart - only emails you once per item on the forum until you've viewed the item you're being notified about. So if you were notified about a thread you wouldn't receive any further updates about that thread until you visited the forum and viewed the thread.
Instant - emails you every time a notification is triggered.
Daily - only emails you once per day for all of the day's notifications.
Weekly - only emails you once per week of all the week's notifications. A week is Monday thru Sunday.
Never - never receive an email notification.
