Hi friends! It's been a very long time since I've been on. I didn't want to post again til I had my 7982 restored and in the house. Well, that day is here. We move next weekend and I have posted the pictures of her in place.(hopefully). Don Mattera did a great job in making her look beautiful and with a few adjustments, I should be cooking with the gas off very soon! Attachments:

What a perfect home for that beauty, Momtommk! I swooned a little just thinking about having two Thermowells, six burners and two ovens!

That is SPECTACULAR ! What's not to like about Chambers, I don't think there is an answer. Let the baking and cooking begin!

I'm dumbstruck, flabbergasted, gobsmacked!!! I don't think I can come up with an adjective strong enough. These things are almost mythic they're so rare. And lets face it, not many of us have the resources much less a big enough kitchen for one.
The kitchen & the stove look great. I see you've even plumbed in a professional pot filler with a vacuum breaker. One thing that stumps me though. Those aren't stock Chambers burner grates. Otherwise, it looks like you've set the stage. Let the banquet feast preparations begin! Are you hosting a get together?

Great to hear from you all! The kitchen was built around the Chambers. The house was made to look old with a central dog run and long leaf pine floors. Pooka, I don't know about the grates. I bought her off of eBay and sent her straight to Don. Maybe he could answer the question? I will post pics of th rest of the kitchen when we get in. A get together sounds great!

It's beauty & functional perfection would be the envy of Apple, but Chambers ownership is almost like a secret club we get to revel in, rather than being the hot product in the marketplace. If you're like me, I brag about my stove whenever I get a chance, but I know some people think I bonkers. From what I can see, this kitchen has a timeless quality. Those flat panel doors are great. They're not too fancy like a raised panel door & they're not as plain as a flat slab door. They're just right. I've got an 1885 cabinet that would blend in there seamlessly except for the finish & hardware. The subway tile is the crowning touch. Aside from the stainless steel hood & the pot filler, it looks like a 100 year old kitchen. What are those counter tops made of? Those burner grates probably came off a more modern commercial stove. They probably work fine & look great. I urge you to try to get a few of the original styled ones to see how they work for you. There were three different ones. One with a large solid iron disc, one with an iron doughnut disc & one high speed grate. The first two are helpful if you're trying to simmer something because they have a built it heat diffuser. The high speed grate look about the same as the Thermowell grate, but the eight tines are longer. Here's a few pics of an old brochure & of my stove to illustrate what I'm describing.
