I first had this in college and got the recipe from a friend:
1 package pepperoni slices 1 loaf frozen white bread dough (or make fresh)] 1 egg 1/4 C Parmesan cheese 1/4 C dry parsley flakes (I use 50/50 parsley and oregano) 2 C pack of shredded Mozzarella
Thaw dough for 2-3 hours and roll out like a pizza until uniformly thin. Mix egg, Parmesan, and parsley together and brush evenly over the dough. Lay pepperoni over the mixture and cover with Mozzarella. Roll the dough into a log and seal the seam and ends with a little water. Place seam side down on greased baking sheet and bake at 350* for 30 minutes or until brown. I like to brush the top with olive oil and put garlic slices on it before baking.

That really looks good! I'll bet it would be easy to size them for a Dutch oven and bake on a camp stove, too.
