Ok, I have a question. First, I'm new here and really enjoy this forum because it's so much more relaxed than the Professional or Automotive forums I go to. Thank You. Now some of you know I do powdercoating and I would like to take a set of white 90c panels I have and powdercoat them in a dark shiney Cobalt Blue, something like those Wedgewoods I've seen. Anyway back to work on the B.

Somebody on one of the forums once posted pics of a VERY 'exotic' blue one they had reporcelained--IPE?--don't remember. Anyway, not MY cup of tea, but it certainly was 'noticeable'. And on THIS forum, whatever 'trips-your-trigger' works for US!!... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) CHEERS! Chuckie

There's a dark blue one on eBay right now. I really like blue but prefer the light blue for a Chambers. For a dark color I really like the black ones, and the black with copper handles and thumb releases is the ultimate!

I kinda liked that candy apple green imperial that was listed a few months ago. THAT sure made a statement (including the price they were asking for it)!!!

Mach12: Yes, that is the one I believe I was referring to; that person has posted before on one (or BOTH!) of the sites after it was done. IF memory serves me, he had it professionally redone--maybe pooka will remember it and can chime in. Again, this particular colour is not MY cup of tea, but hey! Here's a pic b4 the link dies: ![](http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx45/tjsbls/bluechambers_zps7e91892e.jpg) CHEERS! Chuckie

Ok that looks cool, but if somebody already did One in blue, I'll have to pick another color

I kind of like the bolder colors, like the cobalt blue and that green Imperial (and red, of course!) I saw one at a local sale that had been redone to match the other appliances in the kitchen, in late 60s harvest gold, fading to brown at the edges. It was not pretty.

The only stove I remember that changed the color was on the other site. It was a model 15-B that started out ivory with ivory handles. The finish was damaged with something caustic that dripped down the side etching lighter colored drip marks. They redid it in pastel blue which is a standad color for model Cs but not model Bs. They also swapped the ivory porcelain handles for chrome ones & put big dolly wheels under it. It was beautiful when it was done. I should comb though my files & do a post on colors that were offered & the more exotic color I've see them redone in. If you're going to redo the porcelain, do it in a color that pleases you. This Imperial in the odd green was not to my taste, but was interesting. That green might grow on me if I lived with it every day. ![](http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z427/model74/GreenImperial01_zps3b0f34c9.jpg) ![](http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z427/model74/GreenImperial02_zps9bdf1c55.jpg) The one other really unusual one was a model 11-B that The Stove Lady posted on her website. It's orange! ![](http://i1189.photobucket.com/albums/z427/model74/StoveLadyFullRestorationPhoto.jpg) In one ad I've seen for the model C it's shown in six colors (black, red, pastel yellow, blue, grey & green) & white. In another ad only four (pastel yellow, green or blue & red) & white plus The Copper Parade of pastel yellow or green with copper 61C back & handles & antique copper. I've also seen pink & brown that I sure were original. The model B I've seen in original colors of white, ivory, pastel green, black & red.

It's nice to see colors out there. I too like the original stock colors, but sometimes you may just want an orange stove. The green Imperial is very impressive too. Nice photos, I'm still learning about this stuff.

I have a red stove and the only other color I get excited about is a rich robin's egg blue, darker than the original pastel blue, like a Tiffany blue. With the chrome? So nice.

Also metalflake orange. Does anyone know if automotive finishes can go over damaged porcelain? This is happening. Someday. When I have a beach cabin.

Chuckie....I think that blue stove your thinking about on the other site might have been posted by me. I picked up a parts stove in San Antonio and that blue 61C was in his kitchen. It looked EXACTLY like the one posted on Ebay. He had absolutely EVERYTHING redone at a cost of $3,400 but he did the work restoring it himself.
As for custom colors, I'd guess I'd have to say Forest / Hunter Green or Maroon works for me. But, the white or grey stoves go with any kitchen and the whites are easier to touch up with appliance paint.

New member, 1st Post,
I couldn't help chipping in on those colors.
The green in the picture above looks a little "strident" in the close-up picture, but when it is zoomed out to show that stove in a fuller setting, it just looks awesome.
Someone knew what they wanted, and has a very good eye.

That green is a bit strong, but it's obvious it's meant to be the centerpiece of that pale kitchen. The stove & the island are grounded to the rest of the room by the weathered green & brown floor. The rest of the room is just a pale backdrop. It is beautiful, but just too grand for my taste.
