Since Betty came with almost nothing accesory-wise, I've been buying the Thermowell pots on ebay. Last night I was trying to explain what a pot lifter looked like to sporko and I pulled one of the triples out of the box to use as an example. Much to my surprise, there were two pot lifters inside! They weren't mentioned in the listing (which described them as canisters, I believe), so I'm guessing the seller never even looked in it. I've had them for a few months, so I obviously hadn't looked in there, either. Needless to say, I was very excited. Christmas arrived a week early here! ;D

Awesome! My pastel blue Chambers came with two potlifters as well. They are quite handy too. You can lift up the Well lid with them, as well as the kettles themselves. Really, you only need one, unless you wanted to transport one kettle in each hand to the dinner table

Ha! I was thinking I should try juggling the triple pots with them.

The pot lifter is the only thing I'm missing for the complete collection. I guess I need to renew my search.

Christmas arrived a week early here! ;D I found yet ANOTHER use for the "genuine Chambers pot lifter" Coddled egg cup lifter!! We got up this a.m. a wee bit before 8:00 ( NICE to sleep in for a change!), and it was already snowing to beat the band, so decided to fry some taters in the Airwise fryer, and for SOME reason I dreamt of coddled eggs last night. And I haven't made those in AT LEAST three years I'd reckon! We ate like hogs, now settling in to see just how MUCH snow we get! Haven't ventured out yet, appears along the lines of 2" already, and just keeps coming down thicker & harder!!! Wish us luck!!! I've got 10 eggs left, so we should be okay for a few days!!! And Monkey had a wee bit of a rice dish left she'd made, so she sautéed some onions & fresh mushrooms to add to them. I have leftover fried potatoes now too! CHEERS! Chuckie

OMG! That's a great use and I love the egg coddlers! : )) Congrats on the snow. I'm sure I've asked before, but how do you like your air-fryer. I have a convection toaster oven and wonder how it differs.

I've been watching for a lifter but so far no luck and probably not going to happen anytime soon since we can't get out and travel to the places where they might have some.
I've been wondering about air fryers too. The kitchen store in the outlet shops near us is closing and they're selling their inventory. I was in there the other day and they're 50% off so if I'm going to get one now is probably the time.

I have a convection toaster oven and wonder how it differs. Monkey bought it for me on Christmas one year, and I was like WTH will we EVER use that for?!!! As an aside, we DON'T use it OFTEN--methinks it's because we FORGET about it--but it does a FABULOUS job on the minimal stuff we've cooked w/it! Dwayner and Pooka can testify, I made fried spuds one morning for breakfast in it when they were here for the (non-visible~!) eclipse!! I diced up three large Yukon Gold spuds, rinsed/patted dry, then put in a plastic shopping bag w/1-tsp Canola Oil, maybe 1/2 tsp onion salt, and three GOOD shakes from the Chipotle ground pepper shaker. Twenty-minutes in the fryer @ 350--shake and/or stir basket @ 10 minutes--and they were DONE!! Regular russet potatoes only take about 15-17, but Yukons seem to take longer to cook--boiling, frying or baking IMHO...
CHEERS! Chuckie

This is the first time I have seen a picture of a Chambers pot lifer. I remember seeing 3 or 4 at a local junky antique store but did not look at them (moved them to get to something else. Next time I see the old man having his shop open, I'll look for them. If they are cheap, does anyone want or need a Chambers pot lifer?

I'm sure there will be some takers. I got mine in a pair of triple pots some time ago. It is an odd looking thing if you don't know what it's for. They aren't even stamped with a name or number.
