Well, I went to a farm sale today that had an "A" and a "BZ" stove for sale. The "A" was in pretty bad shape, and only went for $35.00. The BZ was in GREAT shape. It had the single pot AND a set of triples. Here it is: I bid it up to $110.00, and didn't get it. I was disappointed, but the guy bidding against me said he was prepared to "bid whatever it took", so guess I never had a chance. He went on to tell me he had one, but "I never use the well, I think they're pretty useless". I then offered to buy the pots from him, he pondered and said "nah, I'll just keep it together as a set". What REALLY pi$$ed me off was the fact he got there like 5 MINUTES b4 the stove came up. He and I were the only two bidding!! And the GD auctioneer walked by them like an hour b4, so had he done it THEN, I'd be hauling another stove home!! I DID manage to pick a BZ top up b4 the guy got there: A whopping TWO BUCKS!! ;D CHEERS! Chuckie

I never believe what other people at an auction say--I think they're just trying to discourage me. The chrome on that stove really is fine fine fine!

Hey Chuckie, just out of curiosity, when the gavel went down, what was the winning bid on that lovely BZ?

Hey Chuckie, just out of curiosity, when the gavel went down, what was the winning bid on that lovely BZ? Either $112 or $115--again, we were the only bidders. He HAD said, however, that he was willing to "bid what it took", so not really NEEDING another one, I passed... CHEERS! Chuckie
