If memory serves...., it think it is a Duchess Console Chambers. I believe tux_sf has some info. on these. They turn up.

What is the cook top like-does it have a griddle & how many burners? I take it by the configuration that there is no well?...

That is a model 7440. 4 burners /broiler/ griddle, no well it is only 35" across the front

Kewl. It's only $75, and only 45 miles away! May be time for a road trip! Is the far right back burner such that you could remove it and put IN a well, Don? I've never seen one of these b4, and didn't know if it's like 'hollow' behind and under the control knobs...

The stove is basically a model A/ B. I does have a T stat and no you can not put in a well. The hole is to small. Don

Here ya go, pooka--a post of mine from last August: The lady was kind enough to send me a coupla pix; it's kinda rough looking, don't know if I want to take it on or not: I never went to look at it, but they wound up offering it to me for FREE if memory serves me...

I got my stove about two & a half weeks after that post on the 25th. I later found out that Alma Chambers 107th birthday was on the August 23, the day I sent an email inquiring about it. I was dizzy with anticipation about it at the time. I was already thinking about buying another one & I hadn't even brought my first one home yet. Here's the picture from that ad. It was in Lake of the woods Missouri which is about seven hours drive from me. I was thinking real hard if I wanted to make the drive. The sickness was very strong in me at the time. ;D
