I think it all started in my childhood... Just picked this up last weekend, It came right out of a home and is in great condition, unlike my photography. I am starting to have quite a stove collection now, 4 total (2 Universals, 1 Kenmore and this prize. This is my first Chambers and couldn't believe it when I started looking on the internet to see what this odd stove was. Thought you might enjoy the pictures. It is quite comforting (I am trying to convince my wife) to know that it is quite normal, and other people have more than one stove usually not located in the intended kitchen. They don't necessarily have to work they are more like art or dreams, they can be looked at, imagined and appreciated. Thank you all, for the tips and suggestions in this forum.

Welcome, Kevin. Congrats on the new addition to the family. She looks to be in great shape...and a yellow high back, to boot. You have entered a very special world of CWTGTO.

Looks like a beautiful addition to your home. Hopefully you'll get her up and running sooner than some of the rest of us (like myself!!)
Congratulations, and welcome to the group.

Welcome and congrats on your new charge. What a lovely range! Looks aren't everything, though. Beauty is the crutch of those who have yet to learn to love. You'll know true love when you taste your first batch of ThermoWell steel-cut oatmeal. In the evening, mix all the ingredients in the T-Well pot, give it ten minutes of gas, turn it off and go to bed. In the morning, you'll wake to the glory of the best oatmeal ever - without having to stand over the pot stirring like a Julia Childs on bad tequila for a half hour.

Sorry for not posting more. I have turned into a serious chamberoholic. My wife has been converted and the stove has been declared "not junk", as many of my "projects" usually are. She will be put into use, so now am planning a new gas line and cleaning the stove. She has also been named Doris after Doris Day. I am taking pictures (too many) along the way and they can be seen at: s244.photobucket.com/albums/gg23/kschick_photos/?start=allAny tips are welcome, but I already know I am a bad photographer. There are "after" pics at the end. The one unusual drip pan came from under the broiler, I think that was a modification by the previous owner. I want to thank you again for all the tips I have been reading.

Kevin, Thanks for sharing your pictures. It's always a good idea to take a lot of them, especially if you plan to do a full restoration. You mentioned that you thought the unusual drip pan from under the broiler was a modification by the P.O. If you're referring to the rectangular drip pan in your photos, that comes standard with the stove. It sits at the back of the broiler box to catch drippings and crumbs when the griddle is angled up.
