Congratulations on your new baby. She looks quite manageable, and the porcelain looks good. And the price - NICE JOB!!!
Your storage compartment looks normal to me. There is some variation in the plumbing of these stoves. I have three Cs, and yours looks exactly like one of mine. I'm not sure what specifically concerns you, but it looks grossly OK. The tiny lines may be a bit bent up, but they may be fine., too. You won't know what kind of shape the lines are in until you get it cleaned up.
I have to ask, though. What is that gorgeous stone building that I see in the pictures? Is that your place, or the place the stove came from?

You are very kind, that is my house - the stove is sitting on my front porch. Built in late 1920's - tudor.

Wow. I've always loved stone buildings, and houses in particular. Can you put up a pic of the house, too? I know I'm not the only one here who loves to see beautiful old houses.

I feel my "teacher's nose" getting red......just for everyone's edification: unless an example of an architectural style is authrntic, it is properly called a "Revival". For example, that beautiful stone house which we are all awaiting pics of is a Tudor Revival. An authrntic Tudor would have been built during the reign of the Tudors. Same goes for all other styles, unless built during that specific period, it's a Revival. In your communities, the authentic styles you are most likely to see are: Victorian, Queen Anne, Art Noveau, Arts & Crafts, Art Deco, Moderne, Modern and Contemporary. OK, my work is finished! Teacher mode=OFF

So, does that mean my house is a Tudor Revival not a Tudor per say? Well then, here is a pic of my Tudor Revival! ![](http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/851/housers8.jpg)

oh! That's a HOUSE!!! Indeed, it is a Tudor Revival. The Tudor Reign began in the 13th Century and lasted some 100 years. The Tudor houses of that era are the real Tudors, the rest are revivals. And yours, yours is a real beauty!

Well, regardless of the style, your house is beautiful. Is that your family, too? Beautiful kids.
Thanks for sharing with us.

What a wonderful house! I love the slight curve to the peak of the gables. It gives it a little bit of a storybook cottage feel.

well said cd, you know, there is a small architectural movement called "storybook" architecture. most cities have an example or two...hard to find but always something to make you smile.

A classic example of storybook character is Washington Irvings home in Tarrytown, NY.

I dont know you all, there is something about it that makes me feel like its falling down! I guess its suppose to look that way but because I'm not familiar with the style! Although I am sure it must be grand! I think it might be a bit scary to me, from when I was a child. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Isn't there a whole neighborhood in Hollywood where a bunch of the early film set designers did the architechture? If I remember right there are a whole bunch of houses that appear more like stylized set pieces, but they are built of durable real-house materials.

In Los Feliz, there are some storybook houses, a small compound of maybe 8 or 10 houses...and there are a whole slew of storybook houses scattered about the town...
