As most of you know, I don't excell in the pastry/cake/bread baking dept. This is the one and only baked goodie I attempt. Fairly quick and easy for a basic beginner baker. These are simular the the biscuits served at Red Loster. I would like to attempt to bake this CWTGTO. Any time & temp suggestions?
2 cups Bisquick. baking mix 2/3 cup milk 1/2 cup cheddar cheese -- shredded 1/4 cup margarine or butter -- melted 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat oven to 450. Mix Bisquick, milk and cheese until soft dough forms; beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min. or until golden brown. Mix margarine and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet. Serve warm. Makes 10-12 biscuits.

Given how quick they cook, I'd imagine you could just preheat your oven, then turn it off. I am not going to attempt to suggest anything with the thermobaker. My first attempt with cinnamon rolls was a glorious failure (bottoms burned). I think it was a rookie mistake...I forgot to put the circle rack on before the pan. Now what does "turn the gas on for 10 minutes" mean? Is that High flame...Medium flame?
I make this style biscuit, too. Try minced roasted minced garlic in your recipe sometime (1 TBSP). I think you'll like it.
